Me at 5am: the title of Lana Del Rey’s Terrence Loves You refers to the Beach Boys’ original title for The Beach Boys Love You, which was Brian Wilson Loves You. Brian Wilson suffers from the same mental illness as David Bowie’s late half-brother Terence Burns, whom the song is a tribute to. I don’t think Lana wrote it. I wonder who did. The song is from the perspective of Terence trying to reach Bowie after his death and it’s a proper tear jerker.
